I need a simple web spider that closely simulates human internet surfing
activity.
This spider will not need to extract any data.
This program I envision will let me specify a list of URL's to spider, then...
1. Put these URL's in random order.
2. Visit Each URL and click on a number of links that I can set.
I would like to be able to set depth.
I would like to be able to set upper and lower parameters for the
number of
links to be 'Clicked' on when it visits a link.
Example... A lower limit of 8 and an upper limit of 30... Would mean
'visit a random number of links between 8 and 30'
3. While this program is running I want Internet Explorer to actually be
running.
All activity should be visible.
I would like to be able to set high and low parameters for how long
each
'clicked on' link is 'viewed' Example: A random number of seconds between 10
seconds
and 25 seconds.
Optional -- Run multiple instances of Internet Explorer and switch
between
them.
4. An important aspect of this project is that the software NOT crap out. It
should
run until I intentionally terminate. Possibly 48-72 hours or longer.
If a page will not load, possibly close the IE window, go to the next
site.
