1994年成军至今，来自芬兰的H.I.M.(His Infernal Majesty)延续了英伦团体Sisters of Mercy和The Mission U.K.的精髓，已成为Goth Rock哥德摇滚的复兴新势力。视觉系颇富戏剧性夸张甚至怪诞的造型装扮，冰冷的synthesizers搭配post-punk浓厚的吉他音墙，建构起具预知的哀悼叙事史诗。阴沈晦暗的旋律结合描述怪诞、神秘预示的爱，反而添加他们独特的神祕魅力。亚洲听众较为陌生的H.I.M.由掌控大部分词曲创作和制作方向的主唱Ville Hermani Vallo和Mige Amour (bass)、Lily Lazer(guitar)、Gas Lipstick (drums)、Zoltan Pluto(keyboards)所组成，96年底发表了首张EP《666 Ways to Love》在北欧激起了相当的涟漪后，隔年出版的专辑《Greatest Love Songs,Vol.666》首度将他们巧妙融合了metal、80年代rock sound和既苦又甜的pop旋律的音乐特质推向欧洲
