Dear XXXXX Team,
my name is Frank Bacher and I'm contacting you on behalf of Mediaphor Software
Entertainment AG, a privately held German company that was founded with venture capital
in 1999.
As this email address seems to be the best fit, we're contacting you via this one. In
case you are not the appropriate contact please forward this to the person responsible
for sales and partnerships.
We are a license trading company and mainly buy licenses from overseas, localize the
software and do the marketing, sublicensing etc. on the European market. Our specialities
are security, system optimisation, and multimedia software and we believe that
XXXXX would greatly enhance and complement our existing line of products.
We're therefore very interested in licensing your software for the European Market. We
might be interested in licensing additional products - if available - once we have
started to develop our business relations.
In the following I'll give you a short overview of how we normally bring new products to
market:
Step 1: Translation/ Localization of the program into German as we always enter our home
market first.
Step 2: First sales via our own shop
http://www.nobox.de/ which has a newsletter
subscriber base of around 300.000 customers. Additionally most products go directly into
our partnershop at medionload.de (will be live during the next weeks), which draws from
the Medion subscriber base of around 1 million customers.
Step 3: (shortly after 2) We get the software out to our partners in the ESD channel.
These partners include T-Online, Softonic and Bertelsmann Media plus a number of smaller
ESD shops/ sub licensees.
Step 4: Getting the product to Retail. Partners we have working relationships with are,
amongst others: G-Data, Micro Application, Koch Media, and Data Becker which are all
large publishing houses working on the German/ European market.
During steps 2 to 4 we actively try to get software products reviewed by computer
magazines like ComputerBild, Chip, c't, PC Praxis, PC Professionell (the big 5 in
Germany) and their website counterparts. This includes offering demo versions on
accompanying media of course, too.
I hope this overview helps you get a first impression of our company and what we are able
to do for you. I am looking forward to hearing from and working with you!
